Print Management Policy: what is it?

In today's digital world, where electronic communication predominates, it's easy to forget the environmental impact of print management processes.

However, controlling printing within your business and encouraging the adoption of more sensible practices can play a vital role in reducing costs, carbon footprints and the inefficient use of resources.

In this article, we'll look at what a print management policy is and why it's important for businesses.

What is a print management policy?

This is a set of rules, guidelines and procedures established within an organisation to manage the use of printers and photocopiers. It aims to optimise printing efficiency, reduce costs and minimise the environmental impact associated with these activities.

What is it for?

There are many advantages. Here are some of the main ones:

  • Cost reduction

One of the main reasons why organisations adopt a print management policy is to control their print investment. Excessive and unnecessary printing can lead to unnecessary expenditure on paper supplies, ink cartridges and equipment maintenance. A well-defined policy can set limits on the number of prints allowed, encourage double-sided printing and promote black and white rather than colour printing where possible. By controlling these aspects, companies can make substantial savings.

  • Preserving resources :

The print management policy also aims to preserve natural resources and reduce environmental impact. Like any industrial activity, paper production has a significant impact on the environment (cutting down trees, consuming energy to produce and transport paper, and producing polluting waste). By adopting sensible printing practices, organisations can help to protect the environment.

  • Increased safety :

A print management policy can also play an important role in strengthening the security of sensitive information. By controlling access to printers and implementing security procedures, organisations can reduce the risk of confidential data leaks. For example, using access codes or badges to release documents directly from the multifunction printer prevents them from being retrieved by the wrong person. These methods also help to limit the number of unrecovered or accidental printouts, thereby reducing waste.

  • Raising employee awareness:

A print management policy also provides an opportunity to raise employee awareness of the importance of using resources responsibly. By establishing clear guidelines and communicating the benefits, companies can raise awareness and encourage a culture of environmental responsibility among employees.

In a nutshell

Implementing a print management policy is essential for businesses looking to maximise efficiency, reduce costs and minimise their impact on the environment. By taking steps to control and rationalise printer use, organisations can make significant savings while promoting a sustainable approach to printing.

It also helps to create a responsible corporate culture, where conserving resources and reducing the carbon footprint are priorities.

Let's not forget that adopting environmentally-friendly practices contributes to a more sustainable and responsible future for all.

When printing mobility goes hand in hand with productivity

When it comes to printing, today's businesses are looking for practicality. It has to be simple, fast and secure. That's why software publishers like Doxense are seeking to develop practical solutions for teams.

In this article, we're going to focus on mobility and remote site management. Specifically, if you have several sites, what could be better for your teams than to be able to go anywhere, with a single application that automatically detects nearby printers so they can print their documents with a single click?

That's what we explain in this article dedicated to mobile printing. After that, you'll have all the keys you need to unleash your teams' productivity.

What are the benefits of mobile printing?

First things first... What is mobile printing?

Mobile printing means being able to print wherever I am (whatever equipment I have at my disposal). This type of printing has a number of advantages that make it a practical and effective solution for professional use.

What are the advantages of mobile printing?

Flexibility and mobility

  • Remote printing: you can print documents wherever you are, even if your printer is in another office.
  • Printing on the move: useful for professionals working outside the office, such as sales staff, who can print documents as they travel to different company sites.
  • No need for a computer: printing can be done directly from a smartphone or tablet, eliminating the need for a computer.

Time saving

  • Speed: mobile printing lets you print important documents instantly without having to transfer files between different devices.
  • Fewer physical connections: no need to physically connect cables between mobile devices and printers.
  • Reactivity: you can respond quickly to urgent printing needs without having to return to an office or workstation.
Les questions fréquentes
Les avantages de la gestion des impressions

Security

  • Secure printing: some printing solutions, such as Watchdoc, offer advanced security options, such as user authentication. This ensures that it is the person printing who actually retrieves the document, thereby guaranteeing data confidentiality.

Saving resources

  • Reduced paper waste: with the ability to preview and print only what is needed, paper and ink waste is reduced.
  • Efficient management: businesses can better manage their printing resources and reduce the costs associated with unnecessary printing.

High document availability

Definition: High availability (or HA) refers to the ability of a system to be operational and accessible most of the time. In other words, it is the guarantee that the system or device will operate almost all the time without interruptions.

  • 100% available: the document is always available, even if all the servers go down, thanks to direct printing.

In short, mobile printing offers a host of advantages that facilitate and optimise the printing process, meeting the needs of modern users for speed, mobility and efficiency. But that's not all! Automated location management can save you a huge amount of time, which is what we'll be looking at next.

Location management: a prerequisite

What is a location?

In the world of printing, a location is a label belonging to a structured list of geographical sites. It is used to physically locate elements of the print fleet (print peripherals, servers, queues, users, etc.). A location can be of the Country, Region, Department, District, Town and Site (or Agency) type.

When implementing a print management solution, it is possible to automate location management.

First of all, you need to define and create the locations manually via the settings, then you can automatically detect the user's location. This means you can print anywhere, without having to install the chosen device - a revolution for users!

Watchdoc : libération sécurisée des impressions

What are the benefits of automating location management?

The benefits are numerous and serve the interests of both administrators and users.

On the directors' side :

  • Save time and increase efficiency

Automated location management significantly reduces the time spent manually managing print devices. Administrators no longer need to configure each printer individually for each user. Printers can be added, updated or deleted from a single centralised control point.

  • Cost reduction

By reducing manual intervention, businesses can cut the costs associated with managing printing peripherals. Less time spent on configuration and maintenance means lower operational costs.

On the user side:

  • Flexibility and Mobility

With automated location management, users can print from anywhere without having to configure the printers themselves. This is particularly advantageous for companies with multiple sites or for employees working remotely or on the move. They can access any printer in the organisation without geographical constraints.

Clearly, if your company has multiple sites and is equipped with a print management solution like Watchdoc, users won't have to set anything up if they travel a lot. They'll be able to print easily and without any headaches.

Finally...

Mobility and print management are major assets for optimising your company's productivity. With mobile printing, your teams gain in flexibility, responsiveness and security, enabling them to work more efficiently and dynamically, wherever they are. What's more, automated location management greatly simplifies the task of administrators and gives users more freedom to print wherever they are.

By integrating solutions like Watchdoc, not only do you benefit from mobility and automated management, but you also ensure the high availability of your printing system. This ensures that your teams can always count on a reliable, high-performance printing infrastructure, minimising interruptions and maximising their productivity.

So unleash the productivity of your business by adopting advanced printing solutions that combine practicality, security and high availability. Don't wait any longer to transform your printing processes and give your teams the tools they need to excel.

This was an opportunity to highlight major issues in print management that affect various roles:

  • The time spent by the IT department on print management;
  • The lack of security, with 61% of organizations reporting security breaches related to print management (according to Quocirca, an analysis and research company);
  • Cloud print management, towards which 73% of organizations wish to evolve, but only 8% have adopted due to various constraints;
  • Sustainability, increasingly concerning, as even today, 20% of prints are never read, and 15% are discarded after the first reading.

These are all major issues addressed by Doxense, whose solutions, such as Watchdoc, offer the ability to automate recurring tasks and print policy recommendations, ensure system performance and security, and reduce the environmental impact of organizations.

A COMPLETE SOLUTION TO OPTIMIZE PRINT MANAGEMENT

Drawing on its market expertise, Doxense launched its own print management software, Watchdoc, in 1998. This solution, with its newly released version 6.1, integrates all the technological and functional components professionals need to overcome print management challenges. Among other features, Watchdoc emphasizes automation to save time for its users. For example, the receipt of statistics related to print equipment can be automated, allowing for incident anticipation and preventing downtime.

Watchdoc also addresses other essential issues, particularly security. User workstations can be secured through authentication and protocols used to encrypt the print chain end-to-end. In terms of cloud hosting, Doxense develops a hybrid architecture, offering organizations more flexibility, performance, and security. On the environmental front, Doxense uniquely provides a simulator to identify savings that could be achieved based on the application of specific print policies, based on organizational statistics.

CONCRETE BENEFITS FOR ORGANIZATIONS

Already deployed to over 2 million French users, Watchdoc has attracted organizations across all sectors, including public entities, which make up a little over half of Doxense's clients. Carbon footprint 2023

What is a carbon footprint?

The Bilan Carbone is a diagnostic tool that measures a company's impact on the environment, and in particular on the climate. It is an exhaustive snapshot of greenhouse gas emissions over a given, fixed period, covering all direct and indirect emissions generated by a company's activities. This methodology is governed by the ABC and GHG Protocol standards, and is certified.

We chose the "HelloCarbo" platform to carry out our carbon assessment, and it went very well indeed!

We've got our balance sheet!

Far from being an end in itself, this carbon footprint is nonetheless a good first step in our environmental strategy. It has enabled us to pinpoint the areas in which we need to make the most progress.

Most of our employees were involved, in one way or another, in carrying out this carbon audit.

We now know that, on average, an employee consumes 5.4 tCO2 and that our main efforts will have to focus on travel. For the rest, our consumption is quite encouraging if we compare ourselves with companies of the same size.

Once we've understood the balance sheet, we'll move on to the reduction phase, which is the most important! We're going to define a trajectory to follow over the next few years, and receive our tailor-made reduction action plan from Carbo.

If you would like to find out more about our approach, please do not hesitate to contact us via our contact form below:

Press release Watchdoc V6

Thursday, February 15th, we released a press release. Here it is

Doxense unveils Watchdoc V6 :

A major update to break free from document management constraints and promote eco-responsible printing practices.

15022024 - Lille - Doxense, the leading French publisher of printing and scanning management software, providing solutions to large public or private accounts through manufacturer partners, announces the launch of the new version of Watchdoc, a benchmark solution for print management. Watchdoc version 6 represents a significant advancement in print management, greatly reducing constraints for administrators and users, enabling more mobility, and simplifying the management of remote sites. Furthermore, Watchdoc V6 continues its initial goal: to assist organizations in implementing more responsible and sustainable printing policies.

Watchdoc, the iconic printing solution

Established in 1998, Watchdoc is a print management software that enables businesses to simplify, secure, and regulate their operations. Through environmental data and print policies, companies can modify user behavior and encourage eco-responsible habits. Adopted by over 2 million users in France to date, the software is recognized for two specific features:

Proactive and Predictive Cost Management. The software allows advanced and predictive management of printing costs with its comprehensive features: detailed tracking of print fleet usage, in-depth accounting, improved budget control, and strategic management of print policies, whether recommended or enforced. Statistical analyses and personalized reports support more informed decision-making.

The flagship innovation of Watchdoc V6: the 'Watchdoc Print Client' module

The major innovation of Watchdoc V6 resides in its 'Watchdoc Print Client' (WPC) module, installed on the end user's workstation. This module simplifies access to printing tasks: easily deployable thanks to the technical infrastructure it relies on, WPC facilitates the recognition of available printing devices in a predefined location, and consequently, enables printing from workstations integrated into this environment.

Print anywhere, anytime, and instantly.

High availability of documents and mobility - The user no longer needs to wonder which printer to send their document to or worry about device installation: a universal and secure print queue is automatically installed.

Mobility - Watchdoc Print Client automatically determines the user's location to redirect prints and allows them to release their document on the nearest printer.

For administrators, a significant simplification of installations.

Spending hours installing printers on hundreds of user workstations across different sites and having to start over whenever a new printer arrives: that's over!

A major simplification of installation (with WPC)
The software installation provides administrators with a significant time-saving. Once deployed on user workstations, whether under Windows or Chrome OS, the WPC client takes care of the entire printing process.

Streamlined management of locations and remote sites
Locations allow for the management of the location of printing devices, users, and servers. Ideal for simplifying management in a multi-site context.

Automatic deployment of drivers and multifunction devices
As soon as a new Watchdoc server joins the domain, it automatically receives the drivers. Once the models are configured, mass deployments can take place and automate deployments on new multifunction devices.

Enhanced security
Users authenticate securely using different methods (based on the directory): Entra ID (Azure AD), Active Directory, LDAP, guest accounts. The spool transfer to the nearest Watchdoc instance is secured by a certificate and encrypted.

A fresh look for the supervision console
In addition to technical innovations, Watchdoc version 6 has received a makeover: from the authentication page to the menu interfaces of the supervision console, interaction with the software is more engaging and user-friendly.

Vincent Lemaire, CEO of Doxense, declares, "Watchdoc V6 represents a major advancement in printer fleet management towards more conscious print management and sustainable print policies. On a daily basis, the new version of our software significantly lightens administrative burdens related to document management and provides considerable time savings for administrators and users. Thus, organizations can refocus on their core activities."

Doxense's technologies and expertise are based on three pillars: providing relevant and sustainable features that address organizational challenges, ensuring that collected and reported data is accurate, and placing security at the core of every innovation.

Secure printing: why secure your printing systems?

Print management refers to the set of strategies, processes, and technologies implemented to oversee and control the entire printing process within a company.

It represents a security challenge for businesses for several reasons:

  • Data security: Companies handle and print a significant amount of sensitive documents, such as financial reports, customer information, strategic data, etc. The security of this information is crucial, and poor print management potentially exposes this data to risks of leakage or hacking.
  • Infrastructure complexity: In many companies, printing infrastructures are often intricate, encompassing various types of printers, scanners, and devices connected to a network. Coordinated and secure management of these devices can prove challenging.
  • Awareness and user control: Employees may print sensitive documents without being fully aware of the security risks associated with printing. It can therefore be challenging to determine appropriate control.
  • Print fleet management: In large enterprises, managing printers scattered across different departments or sites can be challenging. The challenge is to successfully achieve centralized and effective management of these print fleets.

Did you know that 61% of organizations have experienced a security breach related to printing? Yet, only 38% have implemented a secure print management system.*

To address these issues, Doxense offers its software Watchdoc, a secure print management solution. In this article, we will discuss the various benefits associated with securing print servers in the enterprise.

*
According to
Print Security 2023 de Quocirca

The challenge of print security

Poor print management can indeed challenge security within your company. It is often overlooked, making users vulnerable to cyber-attacks and leaks of sensitive data. Cybercriminals are aware of this vulnerability and increasingly target printers to access companies' confidential data. One notable example is the Print Nightmare, a Microsoft flaw that allowed a hacker to execute code remotely on a target machine.

Moreover, 80% of computer security issues stem from internal human failure related to procedural or usage problems, according to CNIL.

Therefore, it is crucial to implement print management software to ensure the protection of these sensitive data.

How does our software work?

Our Watchdoc software ensures the security of your printing at every level!

Securing user stations

It is quite logical to ensure that users only have access to their own documents and the various printing resources assigned to them.
To achieve this, Watchdoc operates in two ways:

  • Directly on user workstations: thanks to our Watchdoc Print Client platform (available on Windows, Chrome, and Android), which retrieves the authenticated user's account with Google or Microsoft Azure AD, allowing the declaration of printed documents in the company directory.
  • On print servers: by analyzing files from print queues (also known as spool files).

Furthermore, we employ a secure driver deployment system (certified by Microsoft), thus assuring our users that the publisher is verified.

Securing servers

By default, files from print queues are not encrypted. Anyone with access to the server can thus access the content of these documents. Watchdoc addresses this issue by encrypting spool files. It also allows configuring the visibility of print queues and restricting their rights, such as access to color printing, scanning, etc.

Schéma de sécurité des impressions

Securing printing resources

Originally, multifunction copiers are secured by a single administrator account. All users, therefore, utilize the same anonymous access.

Each user must obtain personal access to prevent the viewing of printed and scanned documents by others.

To meet this need, the Watchdoc solution allows deploying the Watchdoc Embedded Solution (WES) module on multifunction devices. It secures access to the copier, requiring users to authenticate via code or badge to access their personal space.

Securing software

The administration interface is accessible remotely with Watchdoc, thanks to the secure integration of Active Directory, Azure AD, and LDAP directories.

Our software complies with GDPR, adhering to the principles and obligations outlined in this European regulation regarding the protection of personal data. In the context of an on-premise solution, the software allows any user to exercise their right to erasure (also known as the 'right to be forgotten'). The Watchdoc solution enables the anonymization of users' personal data, allowing the retention of statistics while respecting GDPR. Watchdoc allows you to finely manage access rights, including user management, print queue administration, quota management, access to statistics, or document preview.

Watchdoc : libération sécurisée des impressions

Securing your company's printing

Is your company compatible with our print management software? There's a high likelihood that it is!

Indeed, we collaborate with large companies in both the private and public sectors. For this reason, Watchdoc has been designed to handle a large number of users and copiers.

Furthermore, it is essential for our clients to use our software with all their multifunction devices; therefore, we have ensured that Watchdoc is compatible with multiple brands.

As discussed earlier, the use of a secure print management solution within a company helps protect its data from printed and scanned documents. It is therefore crucial to ensure the protection of personal information.

And what if you, too, chose to protect the sensitive data of your company?

To learn more about Watchdoc and the various measures in place to secure user printing, we invite you to download our whitepaper.

BFMTV is talking about us

To reduce their environmental impact, businesses can no longer afford to ignore the need for effective print management.

Doxense is a leading provider of printing and scanning software solutions that help businesses reduce the economic and environmental costs and constraints associated with printing. Millions of people use Doxense solutions, with an average reduction of 20% in print-related waste.

Meet Vincent Lemaire, Managing Director, and Grégoire Massy, Marketing and Communications Manager.

Watchdoc software, a benchmark in its market

With 20 years' experience and development behind it, Watchdoc meets the print and scan management needs of large companies in both the private and public sectors. It is distributed via a network of partners to provide the most comprehensive and appropriate response, whether in terms of software, hardware or service. As a "multi-brand" software, it works regardless of the type of hardware used, and adapts to the company's IT environment.

The software, developed and supported in France, "frees companies from the constraints associated with print management, while reducing their environmental impact". It also responds to the needs for security, saving time and simplifying access to documents.

Understanding: the key to taking action and reducing waste

Watchdoc is a tool for managing printing and scanning activities. "It enables our customers to carry out a detailed audit of their printing costs, to control their fleet and to understand their uses, so that they can implement the most appropriate printing policy, thanks to detailed statistics and reports". It is this analysis that helps identify potential savings and optimise management and security.

Once the solution has been installed and deployed on the printers, it can be used to reduce waste and cut costs by implementing a printing policy. Promoting the use of black and white, encouraging double-sided printing or setting up a secure print release system (using a code, badge, etc.) these are all ways of optimising the use of resources. Companies can then change their employees' habits by using tools to communicate better, raise awareness of more responsible printing and automatically reduce waste and their environmental impact.

"Over and above the savings, we have seen a high level of support from our teams when Watchdoc is installed. Everyone is aware of the importance of limiting their environmental impact, and Watchdoc is a particularly effective tool for reducing waste and raising staff awareness of the need to print more sensibly.”

A concrete example?

"Recently, a customer was able to reduce the number of pages printed by 40% thanks to its printing policy, while its workforce increased by 40% at the same time! Obviously, each case is specific and the results vary". This customer, in the transport sector, saw their double-sided printing rate increase from 30% to 39% and the colour volume reduced by 23%. Its environmental footprint has been reduced.

Simplicity and efficiency

"The subject of print management is complex and specific to each company. And they no longer wish to be burdened with the constraints associated with it ". In terms of administration, Watchdoc simplifies and streamlines print management, freeing IT teams from as many constraints as possible and saving time on deployment. Security is a key concern for businesses, and Doxense attaches particular importance to it in its developments. Watchdoc provides a high level of security by acting at different levels: user workstations, servers, the printing media themselves and, of course, the software.

It also meets the requirements of the RGPD by making user data anonymous and preserving the confidentiality of documents, thanks in particular to secure document release. A white paper dedicated to securing printing sys is available on the www.doxense.com website.

As far as users are concerned, everything is designed to be as transparent as possible. They can print wherever and whenever they want without having to take any action or settings.

“This helps save overall time for IT teams who should be able to concentrate on something other than responding to requests for print queue installations, for example. And to free businesses from constraints as much as possible, Doxense’s support makes the difference. “In fact, we are renowned and recognized for the ultra-customisation of our solutions.”

Dynamic development

"In the very short term, our software is evolving to provide even greater security, simplicity, automation and mobility. In its new version and with a redesigned architecture, Watchdoc will provide greater centralisation, greatly simplifying management and deployment for remote sites. The emphasis is also on the high availability of systems and documents.

Beyond the continuous improvement of its software and its adaptations, Doxense's aim is to enable companies of all sizes to free themselves from the constraints of document management in general. The company's growth will also be international, thanks to its new German partner Bechtle, which will distribute Watchdoc.

And thanks to its financial partners, who recently renewed their confidence, Doxense will be able to accelerate its growth by recruiting new employees. "Print, breathe! Doxense frees your company from the constraints of print management".

New version (betatest) : Watchdoc V6

Automation, multisite, mobility : Time saving !

We are pleased to announce the release of a Beta version for a major update of Watchdoc ! It will save valuable time for both the system administrator and the end user.

On the administration side, it is now possible to automate the installation of print queues and to easily manage remote sites. The high availability of the documents makes printing possible even if the servers are down in a completely transparent way for the end user and without the intervention of the administrator.

On the user side, the new Watchdoc Client installed on the user’s workstation will allow the user to easily find and update printers in the vicinity, regardless of the site they are at.

Our new Watchdoc V6 version is finally available for betatesting !

It will save our customers, from the system administrator to the end user, valuable time.
Discover the main features:

1. Automation of the installation

V6 simplifies the end-to-end printer installation process by automating it to save time.
Our Plug and Print feature allows you to detect devices on the network. With the driver store you can centrally reference all drivers and printer models.
Simply create or duplicate printer templates and Plug and Print will automatically create print queues when a new printer is detected.
For the end-user, the major innovation is the Watchdoc Client interface that can be installed on the user’s workstation. It allows them to monitor their environmental impact and to access nearby printers with one click. Allowing them to install, update or delete them. Even better: by setting up a universal queue, the Watchdoc Client allows him to print on the nearest printer without any further action on their part.

2. Multisite : centralized deployment

With V6, the management of remote sites is greatly simplified!
From a single interface, you can now manage deployment on all your sites.
By defining the tree structure of your different sites, you can assign a print queue to a location.
The end user can simply find the printers according to the site where they are located.

3. Mobility

The new version of Watchdoc is inherently more mobile.
Watchdoc Client allows users to select nearby printers no matter where they are located.
Also available through a new mobile application, users can print wherever they are, even without access to their computer.

4. High availability of documents

Watchdoc allows you to automate the high availability of prints.
Server failure? No problem: another server will take over!
And if unfortunately the failure is widespread, your users will still be able to print live.

Tips and tricks for handling the equipment

Tips and tricks for handling the equipment

Dear customers, dear partners,

The crisis linked to Covid-19 forced Doxense to modify its work organization within the framework of the Business Continuity Plan which, we hope, gave you complete satisfaction.
However, our teams have always been operational at your side.

To help you and your customers to resume your activity without health concerns, here are some tips and tricks when handling the equipment:

Communication

You can personalize the equipment's welcome screen (via our embedded solution: WES v.3) with an image containing a prevention message (for example: to encourage users to wash their hands before and after using the equipment)
Avoid handling the equipment's touch screen:

You can recommend that users unlock non-confidential printouts from the Watchdoc "My Account" page
you can set up Watchdoc so that prints are unlocked directly after authentication by badge (contact us if you need more information)
you can also use the WESphone application to release or transform jobs without touching the equipment
Hoping that these tips will contribute to a serene return of all users to their workplace and remaining at your disposal to accompany you in the implementation of your print management, we wish you a good deconfinement.

Your Doxense commercial and technical contacts remain at your disposal.

2019 Feature : The Savings Estimator

2019 Feature : The Savings Estimator

One of Doxense customers’ main motivations for choosing Watchdoc® is its ability to generate substantial savings. Indeed, its reports and statistical reports are valuable analytical tools to help administrators optimize their resources related to printing and management control. Even the Purchasing departments may use it, so they can anticipate and monitor their budgets.

From now on, our customers will now be able to estimate the savings that they could achieve thanks to the application of a specific printing policy based on their existing data. This will be enough to apply tariffs and criteria of transformation of spools (simple print jobs) and to measure the gains they could potentially achieve.

Of course, the best printing policy will be one that saves money whilst providing a quality of service and availability of print media to the users. This simulator therefore makes it possible to make the judicious and efficient choices.

2019 feature : The report Communicator

For many years, Watchdoc® has been known for its advanced reporting capabilities.

At the request of its customers, Doxense integrates in this new version an automatic report communicator. It has never been easier to advise users about their print activity. The Report Communicator displays the report in an email so that the user can access the data directly without having to open an attached file, data including the details of the files printed last month, the type (monochrome or colour), the mode (simplex or duplex) as well as the economic and ecological impact for the company. And to make it even more appealing, the reports can be customized to your company colours.

Because regular communication contributes largely to the generation of savings. Doxense makes every effort to facilitate its implementation which is good for the company, and good for the planet.

Integrated within Watchdoc 5.3, this new feature complements the WRS (Watchdoc Reporting Services) option for reporting on print activity.

All you need to do is update your Watchdoc license to receive it
